Sculpture & Architecture

To understand the relationship between sculpture and architecture, a review of the art evolutionary journey is necessary. Key art movements throughout history have played a leading role in sculpture and architecture through the ages to influence their style and characters, as well as influenced our aesthetic. According to Z. J. Yang (Architecture in contemporary perspective, 2003, pp.141–142), I made a diagram that shows the characteristics of sculpture and architecture during the different period. The purpose is to clearly see the relationship between the sculpture and architecture by comparing their features and representative works.
